KCL laboratory is well-equipped for small scale coating and testing of coated samples
Our coating laboratory is equipped with mixing and cooking equipment for small-scale coating color preparation, a drawdown coater with an assortment of rods for coat weight control, a lab-scale pond sizer, a curtain flow tester and a laboratory calender. Additionally, other application concepts like spray coating can be tailored to meet the specific needs and targets of your project. Typically, the sample volumes used in laboratory scale trials are a few liters. Our coating services can be utilized for versatile projects, including testing of coating colors, recipe development, laboratory coating and sizing, barrier coating enhancements, preliminary tests for pilot or mill trials, and comprehensive testing of various coating chemicals.
We conduct detailed testing of coating color formulations and coated samples, assessing critical properties like water retention, pH, rheology, and surface tension to ensure successful applications and quality results.
