Services pushing your innovations for tomorrow’s successful products
KCL has extensive experience in biomass purification through different solvent systems. Typical methods would be chemical countercurrent extraction, CO2 extraction, hot-water extraction, and solvent extraction.
These methods allow you to fractionate biomass to its components and recover them in pure fractions
Cases:
High- and low-consistency extraction of biomass
Purification of biomass
Separation of certain compounds from the raw material in controlled conditions
Purification of hemicellulose from pulp
Enzyme treatment of materials
Testing and analyzing different solvent systems
Different extraction capabilities:
Twin-screw reactor type:
450 L capacity with higher capacity options up to 2200 L
CO2 extraction equipment:
10 L batch reactor
Batch extraction equipment:
300 L (0.3 m3) batch reactor
4000 L (4 m3) batch reactor with liquid circulation
